All kinds of questions and answers

  • I’m so excited to work with you!

When you submit your project inquiry I’ll be able to provide you with an accurate start date.

  • I understand branding is a large investment, especially for small businesses.

When I create your proposal, I’ll break your project down into phases so you can plan ahead and get a sense for what each step will cost. For example, we can focus on your brand in phase one, website in phase two and collateral in phase three.

To move forward, I will require a deposit to hold your space in my calendar.

From there, you’ll have the option to pay for the balance of the current phase in one, two or three monthly instalments.

For easy planning and to ensure there’s no surprises, project invoices will be sent at the end of each month.

  • Yes, of course!!

I have worked with clients all over North America including Ontario, Vancouver and California.

My process is completely virtual allowing me to work with anyone, from anywhere. The internet brings us all together, and that’s a beautiful thing.

  • Absolutely!

Once we’re finished your brand you’ll receive a brand snapshot or brand guidelines that outlines everything you need from logo usage, text styles and colour codes.

If we’ve created a beautiful website, you’ll receive video tutorials walking you through how to make changes and updates on your new site.

If you’d rather offload design tasks and free up time, I’m happy to take them off your plate. Ask me about my design retainer services.

  • This is a normal concern to have if it’s your first time working with a creative.

My design process is highly collaborative, meaning we’ll have multiple check-ins to ensure we’re always on the same page during the briefing, brand strategy and creative direction phases.

This guarantees that we’re continuously in alignment when it comes to your brand, with no surprises.

In addition, your service will include an allotted amount of time for complementary revisions so we can make sure everything is just right.

“As a cherry on top of it all, Shaylyn is also super fun and kind.”

“We hired Shaylyn with Kind Design Studio for a website refresh and we couldn't be happier. I know who we will be coming to for our rebrand!

Shaylyn really worked with us to finesse our brand identity and ensure that our business goals were addressed. Her whole process and platform is extremely streamlined and professional. She really considers everything you want, helps you to organize your ideas, and pieces it together in an aesthetic and thoughtful way. She also includes comments and notes of everything so that you have a good understanding of why design choices were made.

As a cherry on top of it all, Shaylyn is also super fun and kind. We would absolutely hire her again and definitely recommend her to anyone looking to invest in their small business, be it full brand identities or website design”
