Howdy, I’m Shaylyn
You’d think my future in design would have been obvious when I was 12, creating PowerPoints and begging my teacher to share them with the class (cringe).
However, my career path wasn’t linear. I sold pies, worked in coffee shops, and had a pretty bleak 9–5 cubicle job that made me realize what I’d rather be doing is using my creativity to help others.
I know what it’s like to leave a comfortable career to take a chance on yourself, and the struggles that come with starting from scratch.
I believe kindness and empathy are underrated superpowers, which is why I started Kind—to do good work with good people. The ones who were brave enough to take a chance on themselves because they know what they have to offer makes the world a better place.
My design ethos is simple: people always come first. I’ll walk you through an in-depth process that brings together business insight with conceptual design to create a one-of-a-kind brand that’ll resonate with your audience both emotionally and functionally.
I promise no matter where you’re at—whether you’re building your brand from scratch or ready to refresh what’s already in place—when we work together, you’re not just getting a designer; you’re gaining a brand ambassador who knows what’s possible and will support you every step of the way.
