How a business owners hobby turned into a beautiful metaphor for her business, providing inspiration for a brand refresh and marketing collateral.

Monika Adams of Monika Social is a social media and marketing strategist based in Edmonton, Alberta. She supports businesses (especially in the real estate sector) with clear, effective strategies that drive results.

Monika had a visual identity in place, but felt nervous handing the reigns over fearing things wouldn’t feel like “her”. However, Monika realized it was time to delegate design work so she could focus more on networking and growing her business.

We opted to give the existing brand a refresh and Monika’s love for houseplants turned out to be the perfect creative direction. Plants symbolize growth, vitality, and prosperity—exactly what she helps her clients nurture through their online presence. Just like plants energize a physical space, strong social media visuals breathe life into your digital one.

We brought this concept into her brand visuals with custom illustrations. Not only do they reflect her personality and brands values, they also add visual interest in a way that feels authentic to her.

Design notes

We used illustrated, plant illustrations to reflect Monika’s love of houseplants while symbolizing growth, connection, and the organic evolution of a business built with intention.

Design notes

We added two more additional colours to the colour palette for versatility and to make the content creation process easier.
